Fossil Museum - Fossil, Oregon

The Fossil Museum is owned and operated by the City of Fossil. When in town for a lengthy stay or just passing through, stop in and browse some of the unique treasures and artifacts. Not only are there fossils for which the town is famous, there's even a two-headed lamb in the basement! The museum building itself is historic and originally was created by ideas and donations from C. Edwin Asher, W.L. "Lester" Reinhart, J.E. "Emmett" Stout and Jack Steiwer. It was first opened in the old Club Pastime building in early 1966 in conjunction with the city's 75th anniversary.
